Modelcore Terms of Service

Modelcore is operated by True Level LLC, a Vermont limited liability company. In these Terms, “Modelcore,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to True Level LLC.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Modelcore (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) The Service

Modelcore is a browser-based 3D modeling/CAD application. Some features (including collaboration/realtime) may be experimental or limited during beta. During beta, access to certain features (including saving/loading projects and realtime collaboration) may require approval and may be limited or revoked.

1.1 AI Automation (optional feature)

Modelcore includes an optional AI Automation feature that lets you generate 3D geometry using natural language prompts. This feature:

  • Requires you to provide your own OpenAI API key
  • Sends your prompts directly to OpenAI's API from your browser
  • Does not send your 3D model geometry to OpenAI (only structured command results such as IDs and success/failure status)

Your use of OpenAI's services is subject to OpenAI's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Modelcore does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or safety of AI-generated geometry. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before use.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3) Accounts and sign-in

You may create an account by signing in with Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for all activity under your account.

4) Your content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of the projects, models, and other content you create or upload (“User Content”).

4.2 License to operate the Service

You grant Modelcore a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, back up, process, and display your User Content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service (including generating thumbnails/previews and enabling collaboration features you choose to use).

5) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal activity
  • Attempt to access data you do not have permission to access
  • Attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, or security features
  • Interfere with the Service (e.g., introducing malware, abusing the API, automated scraping without permission)
  • Reverse engineer the Service except to the extent permitted by law

6) Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them to improve the Service without obligation to you.

7) Availability and beta disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Features may change or be removed, especially during beta.

8) Payments (not yet / placeholder)

If we introduce paid plans or subscriptions, we will update these Terms to describe billing, renewal, and cancellation terms. Until then, this section is not applicable.

9) Termination

9.1 By you

You may request account deletion by contacting us at support@modelcore.app.

9.2 By us

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to prevent harm to the Service or other users.

9.3 Effect of termination

Upon termination, your access to the Service ends. We may delete your User Content within 30 days after account deletion, subject to legal or operational requirements (e.g., backups).

10) Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11) Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MODELCORE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

12) Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Policy regarding data handling, the Privacy Policy controls.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vermont, USA, excluding its conflict of laws rules.
